Aylesbury, UK, Friars Club - 19.11.1983 (Thanks to Mick & Pete)

Complete audience master recording.

I got this recording from a mate who had been at the show and had somehow managed to lay his hands upon a copy.

The quality of the original bootleg cassette was not fantastic and had a fair bit of tape hiss, however I recently conducted a high quality digital transfer and have removed a great deal of the hiss, which makes a vast difference to the show.

Performance wise the band have a fine night, which is only marred by people who feel the need to gob. As usual Lydon is in a hostile mood; "You don't like it, eat shit and die!"

Banging the Door sounds fantastic, as does Chant & This is Not a Love Song. There is a cut between Anarchy and This is Not a Love Song where the tape was turned.

Trivia: According to my mate Pete who was at the the gig, Lydon turned a fire extinguisher on the front row and doused them all in potassium bicarbonate because they wouldn't stop spitting... Rock 'n' Roll!
