8 No 8 Kiss This + Live in Trondheim (2 CD box set).

A Ltd edition 2 CD box set. the 1st disc is Kiss This which is a Sex Pistols greatest hits and is the normal version the sleeve also opens up to a poster, it comes in a normal CD case with a picture disc. The 2nd disc is live from Trondheim on 21 July 1977 on the Scandinavian Tour , it comes in a wrap around cardboard sleeve which has good quality pictures of the band it also comes in a picture disc. The 2 CD's are incased in a cardboard box.

This is a 3 CD set. Disc 1 is a collection of Studio tracks and early Demo's, recorded at Majestic studios in May 1976, there is also some original Anologue masters from Never mind the Bollocks. Disc 2 is a collection of demo's and rarities from Wessex, Denmark,Gooseberry and Manchester studios. It also has a rejected version of Anarchy. Disc 3 is a live recording from Screen on the Green in 1976 + some rare tracks from London on 03/04/76 and Birmingham 14/08/76 and The 100 Club on 29/06/76. The last track is from the 1878 US tour on 10/01/78. The set comes in a hardback book format. The book contains a very good history of the band + a live gig guide + a good selection of pictures.

190 No 190 The Live Collection (2 CD set).

   This is a 2 CD set Disc 1 is a collection of Live Sex Pistols tracks from unknown locations + one TV int. Disc 2 is a Sid Vicious gig from the Electric Ballroon in Camden , London in 1978. The exact date is unknown. This comes with a cardboard sleeve that is wrapped around the 2 CD box set.

404 No 404 Filthy Lucre Box Set (Japanese).

   This is the Japanese Filthy Lucre Box set it was released to commerorate the Filthy Lucre Tour in Japan. It has a wrap around cardboard cover and a treble CD box. Disc 1 is the normal Never Mind the Bollocks. Disc 2 is the Spunk Demo's. Disc 3 is a small Karaoke disc with two tracks on it. it also comes with a Filthy Lucre t-shirt in it. It comes with an OBI and very good atwork. This is a limited Edition set this number is 017447.

   This is a Limited Edition 3 CD set. Disc 1 & 2 is a live crowd recording from The Crystal Palaec National Sports Centre which was recorded on the 27th July 2002. Disc 3 was recorded at the Blockbuster Pavillion, Devore, California, USA on the 14 September 2002. This is also a crowd recording. This comes with high quality artwork. This is no 1 of 50.

Disc 2 is called 'Pretty Visuals' and contains the Don Goodman 'Long Lost Videos' DVD. Disc 3 is called '91 Minutes Live' and contains video tracks from the Longhorn Ballroom gig from the USA Tour of 1978, it also caontains the full Winterland gig also from the USA Tour of 1978. Disc 4 is a CD and is called 'Nashville Fight Night' and contains a recording from the Pistols gig on the 23rd of April 1976 from the Nashville Rooms, West Kensington, London. This is a Limited Edition 6 CD set this set has 5 card cover reproduction of well known Sex Pistols vinyl bootlegs and 1 recodings of a demo. Where possible they have  tried to reproduce the covers exact but smaller but rather than have a blank back cover as some of the originals had they have just doubled the front to the back. Disc 1 'Indecent Exposure' is a recording from the Burton on Trent gig from the 24th of September 1976. Disc 2 'Welcome to the Rodeo' is a recording of the Dallas gig from the USA tour of 1978 on the 10th of January 1978. Disc 3 'Sweden' is a recording from Halmstad & Stockholm from the 15th & 28th July 1977 from the Scandinavia Tour. Disc 4 'Party Till you Puke' is a recording from the Wessex Demo's from 1977.    This is an 8 Cd boxset released to celebrate the 'Holidays in the Sun' Tour from 2007. The 1st 7 Cd's are the gigs that were played in the UK and the Last disc is a fantastic collection of pictures taken at the 1st 3 Brixton gigs these have been put to live music. This comes with very high quality artwork.

817 No 817 Pretty Blank (15 CD set).

 This is a 15 CD box Set that is limited to 1000, this is no 0164. It contains 15 CD's ranging from the early 70's to the 1978 US Tour. There is no new recording in this boxset everything has all been released in other formats before. The 15 discs come in individual covers which are a bit dull but do have the original front artwork picture of the bootlegs on the front of the sleeves. The set comes in a strong cardboard box, and also comes with a 32 page colour booklet which has the transcripts from a few famous Pistols interviews, all in all this could have been alot better but for the price it is selling for it is worth the money  and a good addition to the site. A fantastic reveiw for this boxset has been written by Tim Bucknall and it can be found on the God Save the Sex Pistols site.

Disc 1 is a high quality recording from the 24th September 1976 at the 100 Club in London.

Disc 2 is the normal Spunk Bootleg recording that was released before Never Mind the Bollocks on the Blank Label - high quality early issue of the Spunk Sessions.

Disc 3 is a live collection of tracks and Demo tracks, the demo's are from the Goodman era, the live tracks are from the Burton on Trent + Winterland gigs and Scandinavia Tour.

Disc 4 has Goodman demo's (Tracks 1 - 6) the 2nd half (Tracks 7 - 11) is Sid Vicious solo, recorded live Max's date unknown + a recording from the Screen on the Green Cinema Islington, London  3rd of April 1977. Sids debut on the bass and is the complete gig. The front cover artwork gave the wrong date of the gig.

Disc 5 is from the Scandinavia Tour of 1977, Beach Disco Halmstad, Sweden 15th July 1977 + Karen Stockholm, Sweden 21st July 1977.

Disc 6 is a high quality recording of the Sex Pistols Christmas day gig from the Never Mind the Bans Tour. This is the evening gig played in support of the striking fireman.

Disc 7 is a live crowd recording from the Great South East Music Hall 1978 U.S.A. Tour 5th January 1978. This is not the complete gig.

Disc 8 is a good live recording of the 1978 tour of the USA recorded at the Kingfish Club Baton Rouge, Louisiana on the 9th January 1978, this is not the complete gig.

Disc 9 is also a live recording from the Nashville Rooms, London  on the 3rd of April 1976.

Disc 10 is a live crowd recording from the 100 Club on the 20th September 1976. This was the Punk Party, the Pistols were supported by the Clash and Subway Sect and the Stinky Toys. This is not the complete gig and the trcks have been re-arranged.

Disc 11 is a live recording from the Never Mind the Bans Tour from 1977 this was recorded at the Nikkers Club in Keighley on the 19th of December 1977. This is not the complete gig.

Disc 12 is a good quality live recording from the Anarchy in the UK Tour from 1976. This was recorded at the Electric Circus in Manchester on the 9th of December 1976. The Sex Pistols were supported by the Clash and the Buzzcocks.

Disc 13 was recorded at Randys Rodeo, San Antonio on the 8th Jan 1978. This is the complete gig.

Disc 14 is a good quality different recording to Disc 13 from the 1978 US Tour at Randy's Rodeo, San Antonio, Texas on the 8th of January 1978. This is not the complete gig.

Disc 15 is a live recording from the Scandinavia Tour of 1977 recorded at the Happy House, Student Kearn, Stockholm, Sweden on the 28th of July 1977. This is not the complete gig + live recording from the Scandinavia Tour 1977 recorded at the Mogambo Disc, Helsingborg Sweden on the 16th July 1977. This is the complete gig.

819 No 819 Best of the Sex Pistols Tour 1996 (10 CD set).

This is a 2009 10 CD boxset from the Filthy Lucre Tour from 1996. The recordings are all live crowd recordings and are available elsewhere but they have been remastered some of them to a very high standard. The disc's are as follows: Disc 1: Paris 1996. Disc 2: Rome 1996. Disc 3: Sweden 1996. Disc 4: Japan 1996. Disc 5: Sydney 1996. Disc 6: Chile. Disc 7: Chicago 1996. Disc 8: Hollywood. Disc 9: New York. Disc 10: London. The set comes in a very strong cardboard box and all the CD are in there own sleeves which have all the same front artwork, the rear has all the track listings for each of the gigs. It comes with a 32 page colour booklet which breaks down some of the interview from the Filthy Lucre press conference which was held in the 100 Club on the 16th March 1996, this booklet also has a complete list of all the gigs played on the Tour. The set is limited to 1000 this is No 0709. I think overall this is worth the cash some of the remastering are to a very high standard.

1232 No 1232 Never Mind the Bollocks 35th Anniversary box set.

The Super Deluxe Box Set edition of Never Mind The Bollocks features three CDs and one DVD, as well as a hardback 100-page book, replica A&M "God Save The Queen"/"No Feeling" 7" single, postcards, promo stickers and a copy of original handwritten lyrics for "God Save The Queen".

CD 1 is the original album, featuring all 12 tracks including "EMI", "Holidays in the Sun" and "Anarchy in the UK".

CD2 features the four b-sides remastered and 10 Dave Goodman January 1977 demos recorded at Gooseberry Studios.

CD3 includes 20 live tracks from 1977 gigs in Norway and Sweden.

The DVD contains a mixture of promo videos, live recordings and interviews with the band.

There is also 1977 (The Bollocks Diaries) - a 100 page full-colour hardback diary detailing every significant band event in this explosive year. Written by former Mojo editor Pat Gilbert, the book includes multiple quotes from key figures, previously unseen photos, recording details, memorabilia and much more. .

1282 No 1282 No Future Spunk Box Set with T-shirt, sticker and pen. (UK).

This is about as rare as it gets in the sex Pistols CD world this is the Spunk No future box set, this comes with a normal spunk 2 CD set and a No Future sticker and a pen shaped as a syringe. This also comes with a XL Sex Pistols No Future T-shirt.

In all my time collecting Sex pistols CD's this is the 1st time I have ever seen one of these box sets in fact I have only heard of 1 other.

The set is held in a plastic yellow cube with really good artwork. (Thanks eBay).

The album comprises studio demos and talking recorded with Dave Goodman during 1976 and early 1977, while original bass player Glen Matlock was still a member of the band. Most of the songs would later be re-recorded and officially released on the group's album, Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols.

The alternative debut album

Several parties, including some journalists in the British music press, immediately suspected that the band's manager, Malcolm McLaren, was responsible for the original Spunk bootleg. This would have been in breach of the band's record contract with Virgin, which was readying the release of Never Mind the Bollocks when Spunk appeared. An October 1977 Sounds article by Chas de Whalley discussed Spunk and made reference to this conveniently coincidental timing.^[2] In the Sounds article, Chas de Whalley makes reference to buying a copy in a record store on the Portobello Road. It was in fact a tiny little record store (ACME Records) in the back of the now famous ACME Attractions. The shop assistant who dealt with Whalley, identified in his article simply as "The Punk," was Doug McArthur, bassist for Killerhertz and Kid Rogers and the Henchmen. McArthur maintained the bootleg was a better quality record and claims to have sold many copies through that little record store.

The evidence for McLaren's involvement is speculative, although it can be noted that his company, Glitterbest, retained the rights to the demo recordings as well as the master tapes - and the demos appearing on Spunk were presented in excellent quality. Also, as evidenced by the original album's "LYN-" matrix number prefix, the record had clearly been pressed in the UK by Lyntone, a legitimate independent pressing plant that would presumably not handle anything that appeared to be a bootleg, and would certainly allow the bootlegger in question to be traced if enquiries had ever been made by the genuine copyright owner. McLaren always publicly denied responsibility for Spunk, but said that he preferred it to Never Mind the Bollocks.^[2]

Some Sex Pistols fans concur with McLaren^[2] - and producer Goodman^[3] - that the raw versions of the songs on Spunk are superior to the officially released ones, particularly since Spunk approximates a faithful reproduction of the original Sex Pistols line-up's live sound. The album also features the bass-lines of Glen Matlock, which were not reproduced when guitarist Steve Jones took over bass duties for the recording of Never Mind the Bollocks.^[4]

Spunk is therefore often cited as the Sex Pistols' de facto alternative debut album. Certainly a tape of part or all of Spunk had been played to Tony Parsons as early as March 1977, and became the subject of his NME article, "Blank Nuggets in the UK", which described the recordings as if they represented an imminent debut album release.^[2]

Reissues

The original Spunk was itself copied and bootlegged immediately upon release. The tracks have since been re-bootlegged countless times in many different formats, including a widespread variant called No Future UK?, which added three extra tracks, and many releases by Dave Goodman, which often feature evidence of remixing.^[2]

Spunk has also been the subject of several official releases.

Virgin Records released the whole of Spunk, without the talking between tracks, along with several other early Sex Pistols demos as part of a limited edition double-CD reissue of Never Mind the Bollocks in 1996 called Spunk/This Is Crap.

Spunk was released on 17 July 2006 by Sanctuary Records in its original vinyl format (CMQLP1395, limited to 1,000 copies). The CD version (CMRCD1376) included the three bonus tracks from the original No Future UK? bootleg.

1392 No 1392 Sex Pistols Live 76. (4 Cd set).

This is a quality 4 CD box set released in 2016 by Universal Records. This comes with 4 CD.s from early Pistols gigs. The artwork I think is fantastic and comes in a strong box with the four recording in paper sleeves the 6 page Booklet comes with a breakdown of each of the gigs. This also comes with a black envelope which contains a collection of flyers.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the box set. The quality of the recordings in some cases are excellent.

1393 No 1393 Sex Pistols Live 1976 (4 Cd Box set). (Version 1).

This is a 4 CD set called 4 LP Tour Box. it has 4 recordings from Leeds Poly, Mogambo Disco, Mr George Coventry and San Antonio Texas. Some of The gigs have tracks missing.

This comes with good artwork in a 4 CD case the discs are coloured White, Blue, Yellow, Red.

1396 No 1396 Sex Pistols File (4 CD set).

This is a four CD box set called Sex Pistols file it has 4 recordings from Spunk to the 100 Club (Burton) Dallas 1978 to Winterland 78. 

The Artwork is poor quality and comes in a 4 CD case.

1424 No 1424 Fan Club Singles Limited Edition box set (7 CDR set).

This is a CDR Box Set of 'Sex Pistols Fan Club' 7 x 7" EP's (Issues 1-7) which had been previously issued individually. Box sets limited to 100 or less in hand numbered different vinyl colourations. This comes with very high quality artwork. 

This is also released in Blue and pink and white.

1425 No 1425 The Greek Box set (6 CDR set).

This is a CDR version of the Greek box set comprising six CD singles on the Virgin label.
Each disc comes with a thin glossy card picture sleeve and all are housed in a bright yellow 8" x 8" box with pink band logo on the front and the disc tracks on the rear (albeit in the wrong order).
Every 7" has 1980 as release date but the box itself states 1987.
There is no individual catalogue number for the actual Box Set but each disc carries it's own Greek catalogue number as well as the original UK catalogue number too.
The sleeves appear to be straight prints off the original singles as the edges are uneven and carry the Greek catalogue numbers as well as additional Greek text and manufacturing details.

1566 No 1566 Live 76 (4 CD Box set) Japanese.

This is a Japanese quality 4 CD box set released in 2016 by Universal Records. This comes with 4 CD.s from early Pistols gigs. The artwork I think is fantastic and comes in a strong box with the four recordings in paper sleeves the 6 page Booklet comes with a breakdown of each of the gigs. 'Some Product' was a compilation of 1976-1978 Sex Pistols radio interviews released as an album in July 1979. This reissue has been expanded into a 3CD set by including the BBC Radio 1 "Rock On" interview from 1977 (CD2) and two further previously unreleased Radio Forth & Radio Metro interviews from 1977 (CD3). This cones with in a high quality box with great artwork and 6 page information booklet.
