Los Angeles, CA, Hollywood Palladium - 10.6.1983. (Thanks Mick & Karsten)

Before the first note of Public image has been played you can already feel the difference between this and the previous shows with a proper lineup. This truly was the begining of a new era in many unfortunate ways.

It's not all bad though. Maybe because it was their first gig the band sound incredibly raw and gritty. Just a pity that it didn't last a little longer.

Zvoncheck's keyboards can become extremely irritating on this bootleg, which is probably it's most major drawback. Thank god he got the boot after the Japanese shows!

It's interesting to note the inclusion of Albatross in the set at this point and upon hearing it you'll understand why it didn't remain in the setlist for very long. Lou Bernardi's style just can't cut it compared to Wobble's. That and the fact that Lydon sings most of it in the wrong key.

Bernardi also makes 4 Enclosed Walls unlistenable by adding unnecessary bass parts, a great example of why this song also didn't survive long in the set list.

Historically though this bootleg is a must have.

There is a cut between 4 Enclosed Walls and Flowers of Romance.

There is a cut between Banging the Door and Death Disco.

There is a cut between Death Disco and Anarchy.

There is a cut between Anarchy and Bad Life.
